You’ve Got Supper Goes from a Paid Subscription to a Free Service

Youve Got Supper

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) November 22, 2008

You’ve Got Supper has recently decided to move from a paid subscription service to a free service business model. With the economy heading into a direction which most are fearful the switch from a paid subscription to a free service is a differentiator between You’ve Got Supper and their competitors. With the economy being such a popular topic for many households, not just in the U.S but across the globe, a free service allowing people to control and get a grasp on how much they spend, cook and eat on weekly basis is greatly needed.

More and more families are looking to cut back on daily spending and going out to eat and dining at restaurants. This is something that has been eliminated from many families and couples monthly budgets. More and more people online are really looking for ways to be able to stay home and make quick and easy dinner recipes at a fraction of a dining bill. Studies show that eating at home will become very common until our economic status begins a rebuilding process and returns to a healthy state. You’ve Got Supper continues to increase their already growing website by adding many new recipes for families to enjoy. Signing up is now free and also very easy for any experience level. You’ve Got Supper allows you to build your weekly grocery list by going through the many different recipes and making a detailed list each and every week of what ingredients you need for all meals. You’ve Got Supper acts like a weekly meal organizer for those looking to really cut down on grocery spending and frequent visits to the local restaurant.

You’ve Got Supper realizes the importance for families to really save money these days and offer free online recipes is something that has to be a must. The transformation of business models from paid to free does not come as a surprise. Some of You’ve Got Supper’s competition has slowly started to make the migration from a paid to a free service offering but many have lagged in making the transition. By offering a free printable grocery list this allows visitors to see firsthand what they need to buy when entering a grocery store so that they do not walk out with any unnecessary items. As time pushes forward You’ve Got Supper will continue to offer free recipes to all its visitors. By signing up to their newsletter you can receive free recipes by email and be informed of any new and exciting changes occurring within the organization.

WorkItMom.com Offers Tips for Working Mothers to Gain Flexibility and Balance Work-Life

Posted by Webmaster on Oct 29, 2010 in Quick Dinner Recipes

Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 27, 2008

Working moms change careers and start their own businesses as a way to gain more flexibility and work-life balance. Members of www.workitmom.com, an online community dedicated specifically to working mothers, recently shared their inspiration and reasons for becoming entrepreneurs. While many have always wanted to start their own business, having kids and wanting a job that is flexible and allows them to continue to work and to spend time with their kids motivated them to take the plunge.

Yvette Segal quit her career as a fashion executive to launch a new business after becoming a mom. “The business I was in before I had kids was not very family friendly. When I had my son I was spending long hours at the office and felt like I was missing so much. As soon as he was born, I knew I wanted to find a way to work and be able to see him more,” says Segal.

Yvette came up with an idea to create an online community centered around kids’ wish lists and is currently working on launching www.mykidsregistry.com from her home. “It is really hard being home with kids and at the same time you are trying to launch a business with no help. Next year my daughter will be in preschool so I’ll have more time to dedicate to it. Still, I am thrilled I am doing it.”

Gaining more flexibility while continuing to work and doing something she was passionate about inspired Nataly Kogan to create WorkItMom.com in the first place. She had a successful career as a venture capitalist in New York but saw her daughter for just a half hour on some days.

“I’d always wanted to launch my own business and doing something that gave me more flexibility to spend more time with my daughter was the final push that I needed,” states Kogan. “I work harder than I ever have, but I get to choose the 80 hours a week when I work. Being able to see my daughter more, get to know her teachers, be part of her life- it’s priceless and I’m willing to work until 3am to make it happen.”

Moms who run their own business are under no illusion that it’s an easy way to make a living. They often work harder and put in more hours than they did in their regular jobs. But they say that it’s the flexibility of working around their kids’ schedules that they find so appealing.

After becoming a mom, SK Joun quit her successful 15-year career with a Fortune 500 financial services company to launch a new magazine for parents called Parents for Parents (www.parentsforparentsmag.com). “I have always had the entrepreneur spirit inside of me,” says SK. “Being self-employed, I don’t necessarily have more time; I have more flexibility of time. For example, I spend every Wednesday afternoons with my older son – I could not do that if I was not self-employed.”

Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 10, 2008

According to a recent member survey at WorkItMom.com, the leading online community for working mothers, spending time at a spa, receiving a spa gift certificate and having some alone time are the top three gifts busy working moms would like to receive for Mother’s Day.

In response to the question of what gifts would you most like to receive for Mother’s Day, 22 percent of respondents chose “A half day at a spa,” 16 percent chose “Several quiet hours to spend by myself,” and 15 percent chose “A few extra hours of sleep.”

The other options included for this question were “Someone to do household chores for a day,” (15 percent), “A handmade card from my kids,” (14 percent), and “Fun date with my significant other” (10 percent).

When answering the question of what tangible gifts would you like to get for Mother’s Day, 30 percent of respondents chose “Gift certificate to a spa,” followed by 14 percent who chose “Jewelry,” and 13 percent who chose “Books or CDs.”

While working moms do want a bit of a break from their busy lives by going to a spa or having some alone time, many shared that some of their favorite Mother’s Day gifts have been cards made by their kids, breakfast in bed, a dinner prepared by their husband and kids, or just a fun outing with their family.

Fifty-eight percent of survey respondents said that it is very important to them that their significant other remember Mother’s Day and recognize them, with 35 percent saying “It would be nice.” Only 7 percent said that it’s not that important to them.

Nearly 70 percent of working moms said that they don’t expect Mother’s Day to be celebrated at the office and consider it a family holiday.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) March 31, 2008

WorkItMom.com, the leading online community for working mothers, announced today the launch of the Marketplace, a dedicated area on WorkItMom.com where mom entrepreneurs, business owners, freelancers, and bloggers can promote their products and services to thousands of working moms who visit WorkItMom.com daily.

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics approximately 50 percent of U.S. firms are owned and operated by women, including six million owned by mompreneurs. A vast majority of these mompreneurs have created businesses that target parents and other mothers.

“We are very excited to launch our Marketplace,” says WorkItMom.com co-founder and CEO, Nataly Kogan. “This expansion of our site comes in response to multiple requests we have received from our growing membership base. Mom and women entrepreneurs are naturally looking for ways to gain exposure for their businesses and reach their target audience of women and moms. The creation of the Marketplace is another step in furthering our mission of supporting working moms and helping them achieve success in their lives, work, and with their businesses.”

“Small businesses can’t always afford banner ads on sites like WorkItMom.com and the Marketplace allows them to promote their product or service in an affordable and highly targeted way,” adds co-founder Victoria Grace.

Listings in the Marketplace on WorkItMom.com start at just per month and several different packages and types of listings are currently available. Marketplace listings will be promoted throughout WorkItMom.com, including in the site’s most popular areas, such as mom blogs.

In addition to the Marketplace, WorkItMom.com offers mom entrepreneurs a great place to connect with other moms, ask questions about their business, and find networking opportunities through the site’s social networking features.
